The longer I live the more I realize the powerful connection that exists between our thoughts and our words. I honestly believe that this connection is one of the most important things we can learn in our lives.

Our words are a direct result of our thoughts. So many people’s problems are rooted in their way of thinking, which actually produces the problems they experience. A negative mind produces a negative mouth and, consequently, a negative life. We’re all tempted to think negatively, but we don’t have to give in to the temptation. We need to be able to identify what types of thinking and speaking are life-giving and what types aren’t.

Because I allowed many years of negative thinking and speaking in my life, I became an extremely negative, sour person. My philosophy became if you don’t expect anything good to happen, then you won’t be disappointed when it doesn’t. Have you ever felt that way? Because I had encountered so many disappointments, I was afraid to believe that anything good could happen to me. I had developed a terribly negative outlook on everything.

If I had continued to believe those lies about never getting over my past, I never would’ve gotten over my past! With God’s help I was reminded that my past didn’t have to control my future. I didn’t need God’s help in my life to give up; I needed His help to keep going!

I finally found out how important it was for me to come to grips with the fact that my life would not get straightened out until my mouth did…and since the two are linked, my mouth wasn’t going to get straightened out until my mind did.

We have to choose to think and speak positively. It doesn’t come naturally—it takes a lot of practice. There will be days when you have setbacks, but just get back up, dust yourself off, and start again. When a baby is learning to walk, he falls many, many times before he gains the confidence to walk. Failing from time to time—which you will do—doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It simply means that you don’t do everything right all the time—and neither does anyone else.

If you’ve been consumed with negative thinking and speaking, the pathway to your freedom begins when you face the problem without making excuses for it. Be patient with yourself. As you change your thinking, your words will change and so will your life!

GodBless All..

  Comments

Daily Battles of the Mind

Did you know that we are in a war every day? We see the casualties everywhere—people falling from disease, divorce and tragedy. Looking around at all the suffering, we may think the battles in hospitals and divorce courts are being lost. But in reality, we’re losing the advanced and more important conflict—the battle in our minds.

Each day our minds are bombarded with a constant stream of nagging thoughts, suspicions, doubts and fears. While any one of these can cause defeat and devastation, we are often plagued by more than one…filling our daily lives with mental combat against an array of aggressors.

Since we fail to identify the battlefield, we also fail to correctly identify our foe. We tend to believe people, money, religion or “the system” are our problems. In an attempt to defend ourselves, we build strongholds in our mind. Strongholds are areas of thinking not based on truth but lies. Instead of protecting us, they actually imprison us. Unless we renew our mind, we risk continuing to believe those lies and making important decisions based on deception.

Let me give you an example of how strongholds of wrong thinking can destroy a marriage. Mary and her husband, John, are not enjoying a happy marriage. There is strife between them all the time. They are angry, bitter and resentful. Now their two children are starting to show signs of being affected by all the dissension at home. One of the kids is even developing stomach problems brought on by stress from the conflict.

Mary's problem is that she doesn't know how to let John be the head of their family. She is bossy—she wants to make all the decisions, handle the finances, and discipline the children. She wants to work so she will have her "own" money. She’s independent, loud and demanding. Mary knows her attitude is wrong and wants to change. She's been in counseling and is constantly asking people to pray for God to help her. But she hasn't seen any improvement. Why? Mary has trouble controlling her actions because she has trouble controlling her thoughts. She has a hard time knowing what thoughts to control because of the strongholds in her mind—strongholds that were built very early in her life.

As a child, Mary had an extremely domineering father. For years she suffered helplessly as her father mistreated her and her mother. He was disrespectful in all his ways except toward Mary's brother who could do no wrong. It seemed as if he was favored just because he was a boy. By the time she was sixteen, the strongholds in Mary's mind were firmly established. The stronghold of lies went like this: "Men really think they're something. They are all alike, and you can't trust any of them. They will hurt you and take advantage of you." As a result, Mary's mind was made up: "When I get away from home, nobody is ever going to push me around again!"

Before Mary can ever have victory in her life and peace in her marriage, she will have to tear down the strongholds that are ruling her thinking. Do you see yourself in Mary's life? Many of us have given in to deception at one time or another. How can these strongholds be torn down? We must be willing to receive the light of Truth in our minds. Our search for Truth begins in God's Word, which says that the Truth will set us free (see John 8:32). This means we can be free from bondage, sin and strongholds in our minds. But just searching for Truth won't set us free. We must be courageous enough to also believe the Truth.

Even when the Truth illuminates what’s inside of us, it's sometimes hard to accept. It’s a painful process to face our deceptions and deal with them. It's so easy to allow our past and how we were raised to negatively affect us for the rest of our lives. Our past may explain why we're suffering, but we must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage. You may have some major strongholds in your life that need to be torn down. Let me encourage you by saying, “God is on your side.” There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side!

During my High School days and college year I was invovled and influenced by my close friends not just only for some bad attitude, good memories but in a way of lifestyle of smoking. All my friends got smoke. Frankly to say it so nice after you take a meal then smoke. I lived there for almost a years then I stopped it in the year 1997. We know Smoking is a part of social living culture even our ancestor does smoke in old type of cigarette "tobacco".

The tobacco plant, scientifically known as Nicotiana tabacum, is a plant grown for its leaves, which are smoked, chewed, or sniffed for a variety of effects. Tobacco is considered addicting because it contains the chemical nicotine. Sniffing and chewing tobacco originated in North America and Europe. It was Christopher Columbus who introduced tobacco into Europe. It then became very popular with the Portugese, Spanish, French, British, and Scandinavians.

My father for entire his life did not smoke ever. I was looking for this reason and getting to know about it, the fact, and the biblical priciples in order to ruin this such wrong livestyle of smoke.

In our country in the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) imposed total smoking ban in Hotels and Restaurants since May 31 same year 2007. The Philippine Medical Association considered highly sucessful antismoking campaign in 1994 was the "Yosi Kadiri" implemented by the (DOH) but I think It does'nt work.

In terms of manufactured cigarettes, the Philippine has manufactured 73 billion cigarettes in 1994, occupying the 15th leading producers of cigarettes. The country has imported some 13.98 billion cigarettes, thus occupying the 12th place among world’s leading importers. However, the nation was not among the 25 leading exporters of manufactured cigarettes.

In terms of health consequences of tobacco use, WHO estimates that globally, 4 million deaths are caused by smoking. This is expected to increase to about 10 million by the year 2030, which will be more than the total number of deaths from communicable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and maternal and childhood conditions combined (WHO 1999). What a source and very consistently studied. The World Health never lied about this statement. But the peolple all over the world ignored and disregarded and this is what true.

In UK alone smoking kills an estimated 120,000 people each year in that country. It is a major cause of illness and premature death on average, persistent smokers die 10 years younger than non-smokers.Tobacco contains over 4,000 chemicals, many of which are harmful. These include:

Benzene - solvent used in fuel and chemical manufacture.

Formaldehyde - highly poisonous, colourless liquid used to preserve
dead bodies.

Ammonia - Chemical found in cleaning fluids. Used in cigarettes
to increase the delivery of nicotine.

Hydrogen cyanide - poisonous gas used in the manufacture of plastics,
dyes, and pesticides.

Cadmium - extremely poisonous metal found in batteries

Acetone - solvent found in nail polish remover

Arsenic - ingredient in rat poison.

The three main components inhaled smoke are nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar, all of which can cause disease.

Nicotine

Nicotine is the addictive drug in tobacco. It is absorbed into the bloodstream and effects the brain within 10 seconds. It increases the heart rate and blood pressure by stimulating release of hormones such as adrenaline and constricting blood vessels.

Carbon monoxide

Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas found in car fumes, which reduces the amount of oxygen carried in the blood. Oxygen is vital for the body?s organs to function efficiently. The reduction in oxygen changes the consistency of the blood, making it thicker and putting the heart under increased strain as it pumps blood around the body. Carbon monoxide impairs absorption of essential nutrients and affects growth and repair of the body and is linked to heart disease, stroke and other circulatory problems.

Tar

Tar contains many substances proven to cause cancer. Irritants found in tar damage the lungs causing narrowing of the tubes (bronchioles) and damaging the small hairs (cilia) that protect the lungs from dirt and infection.

Lung cancer

Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world with 1.2 million new cases diagnosed every year.Until recently, lung cancer was the most frequently occurring cancer in the UK; it has now been overtaken by breast cancer but it still accounts for 1 in 7 new cancer cases, that is, around 38,400 new patients annually. In Britain, one person every fifteen minutes is diagnosed with lung cancer. Lung cancer is the cancer most commonly associated with smoking: around 90% of all lung cancers are caused by smoking, either directly or through indirect exposure. Because of its poor prognosis, lung cancer is still the most common cause of cancer death in the UK, with around 33,600 deaths each year, accounting for 6% of all deaths and 22% of all cancer deaths in the UK.

The state-of the-art was detected this example picture above that this man severly damaged his lungs almost lived entirely without smoking. The chemicals on this cigarette does not affect during your smoking but the age of 40 it will existed and become to declined all the cells in our body will lead unto death.. I don't know how long you've stay in a smoking habit..But for sure, God said, "The man's reap what he sow". If you loved your family, friends and God, you will stay away. Better further to be a healthy rather than to drawing your life to 6 feet under below the ground. If you like some question on how to avoid this killer smoke you are free to e mail me or leaved some comments. Thank you!

Virtually everyone has heard of MySpace. With more than 90 million users, it has become the most popular social network on the web. Whether or not you know much about it, you can be assured that your kids do.

Around 20 million teenagers in America have a MySpace site, which they use to meet new friends, connect with old friends, post pictures write online journals- sharing their thoughts for the whole world to see. Million of teenagers spend several hours each day on this site for entertainment and interaction.

The problem that many parents are unaware of is that not everyone on MySpace is a teenager. Yes, many adults are online for legitimate social networking purposes, but untold thousands of them are online predators posing as teenagers. They hope to begin in a relationship that will ultimately lead to sexual encounter. "Time" magazine recently reported that a fourteen- years old girl was raped by nineteen- years old man after he met her on MySpace. The girl's mother is now suing MySpace for $30 million because they did not take proper precautions to protect her child from online predators.

The latest data shows that 71 percent of people with a MySpace site suscribe to "friends" that are really strangers to them. The scary part is that 41 percent of young people respond to an invitation from people they don't know. Your teenager sitting at a computer, talking and sending pictures back and forth may look innocent, but you no idea who is on the other end. Theres no people more vulnerable than ever, making then open prey for cunning and smooth talking predator.

MySpace "pornography" does not help either. even though MySpace tells people that they should not post inappropriate pictures, the indecency and imitation of celebrity crudeness that is on many teen Myspace sites would cause adults to shiver.

What can be done to protect your young person from the peril of an online predator?

Make sure your computer is an open room and intense protection software to block pornography. in addition, ask your kids lots of questions like, who are they talking to? When you look at the list of friends they have on Myspace, you should know all of them. Another more thorough way to protect your kids is to help them to switch to My Battle Plan on www.battlecry.com On this site, they can not only connect with friend, but they can also stablish a plan to grow in thier faith and be held accountable to that plan. Thier networking will not be about the cool trends, but instead revolve around how they are growing in the Lord, setting spiritual goals and encouraging others to make an impact for Christ.

  Comments

Unlock Your Health Potential

It is my dream that someday every one of the nation’s leading TV programs, radio broadcasts, magazines, and newspapers will report that scientific evidence shows that followers of Jesus are three or four or five times healthier than those who don’t believe in Jesus—that Christians have less cancer, less heart disease, less diabetes, and less obesity.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if God’s people were so full of good health, so vibrant, that others would notice us from ten or twenty feet away? If that were to happen, our churches wouldn’t be big enough to fit the numbers of people rushing to hear about the Great Physician’s prescription for their good health.

I believe that people from all walks of life would break down the doors to learn more about what God says about living a long and abundant life and ultimately come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. That’s my reason for writing The Great Physician’s Rx for Health and Wellness, and my core message on health can be derived from two Scriptures. The first goes like this: “I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship” (Rom. 12:1).

Are you presenting your physical body as a living sacrifice? Can you say, “This is the best I have, and I’m giving it to the Lord?” Are you an example of God’s best? Can others see your vitality?

They say that if you haven’t got your health, you ain’t got nuthin’. Nothing on earth matters more than your physical well-being because without your health, God cannot use you properly. Since God has great plans for you, He’s calling you, one of His children, to present yourself as a living sacrifice today.

I believe God designed us to live long and fruitful lives. I believe we can maintain our strength and vigor well into old age by following the Great Physician’s prescription for health and wellness.

Think about it: before Moses dies, Scripture says that his eyes did not grow dim. The Bible tells us that the eyes are the windows of the soul, the light of the body. If the eyes are good, the whole body is good. In fact, when priests were called upon to diagnose a disease of an Israelite, they looked into the person’s eyes. What this means is that Moses did not die of an illness; nor was his body feeble or his mind weak. God was ready to take him home; Moses was simply used up.

Joshua passed away at the age of 110, just months after he came off the battlefield. Caleb was going full bore, battling giants in his late eighties, until the Lord called him home. The heroes of the Bible never spent time in assisted living or nursing homes. They drank the last drop from the cup of life because they followed God’s principles of good health found in the Bible. And you can, too, which leads me to my second key passage of Scripture: “Let us make man in our image” (Gen 1:26).

This means you were created in the image of God. You were made in God’s image for a reason, and that’s to be a reflection of God to the world for His glory. Think about it: Do you properly reflect His image? Are you healthy? Or do you think you’re healthy simply because there’s an absence of a grave disease in your life? Maybe you consider yourself healthy because you’re not hacking away with a cough, running a 103-degreee fever, or dying in a hospital. But is that really the definition of being healthy?

Good health is a lot more than the absence of disease in your life. Good health is walking up in the morning feeling rested and ready to attack the day. Good health is having the energy to keep up with those kids you’re raising. Good health is having something left in the tank after you’ve put in a full day of work. Good health is thriving, not merely surviving.

God wants to use you, but He also needs you at your physical, spiritual, and emotional best. My challenge for you is that you’ll say, “Yes, I am a living sacrifice, someone who is causing those who don’t know God to want what I have.

You Are not an Accident.
Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did.
He was not at all surprised by your birth. In fact, he expected it.

Long before you were concieved by your parents, you were concieved in the mind of God. he thought of you first. It is not fate, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You are alive because God wanted to create you!

God prescribed every single detail of your body. He deliberately chose your race, the color of your skin, your hair, and every other feature. He custom-made your body just the way he wanted it. He also determined the natural talents you would posses and the uniqueness of your personality. The bible says, " You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something". Because God made you for a reason, he also decided when you would be born and how long you would live. He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death. The Bible say's, "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before i began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book!..

God also planned where you'd be born and where you'd live for His
purpose. Your race and nationality are no accident! God left no detailed to chance. He planned it all for His purpose. Nothing in your life is arbitary. It's all for a purpose.

Most amazing, God decided how you would be born. Regardless of the circumtances of your birth or who your parents are, God had a plan in creating you. It does'nt matter whether your parents were good, bad, or indifferent. God knew that those two individuals possessed exactly the right genetic makeup to create the custom "you" he had in mind. They had the DNA God wanted to make you.

While there are illegitimate parents, there are no illegitimate children. Many children are unplanned by thier parents, but they are not unplanned by God. God's purpose took into account human error, and even sin.

God never does anything accidentally, and he never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything he creates. Every plant and every animal was planned by God, and every person was designed with a purpose in mind.

God's motive for creating you was His love. The Bible say's, "Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us the focus of his love".

God was thinking of you even before he made the world. In fact, that's why he created it! God designed this planet's enviroment just so we could live in it. We are the focus of his love and the most valuable of all his creation.

You are not an accident! Albert Einstein say's "God doesn't play dice". Maybe you are so busy person, a person engaged too much on how to be stable in life..but think and seat for a while.. Remember the life's-span of a human being today estamated for 75-85 years then we die! as you read this article I know God's spoke from your heart and mine.. God also used a technology such this to remind you and that God love's us.
